Wee Yin’s is a compassionate initiative created by PICTS – Poverty Intervention Charity Transforming Scotland – to stand alongside families welcoming a new baby into the world while facing the pressures of poverty. Rooted in dignity, kindness, and community, Wee Yin’s ensures that every wee yin begins life with warmth, comfort, and the essentials every newborn deserves.

We work closely with trusted partners, health professionals, and referral networks to reach families who need support most. By easing the financial and emotional strain of early parenthood, we help parents focus on what matters most: bonding with their baby and building a hopeful start together.

We provide thoughtfully prepared baby care packs filled with clothing, essentials, and comforting items for new-borns up to 12 months. Each pack is curated with dignity in mind, ensuring families receive high‑quality, practical support.

From essential baby items to practical guidance, we help new parents navigate the early days with confidence. Our support is designed to reduce stress, promote safety, and ensure families have what they need to care for their wee yin.

We work through a network of referral partners, community organisations, and frontline professionals to ensure support reaches families quickly, respectfully, and without stigma.

Our belief is simple and unwavering: every child deserves to be welcomed with love, regardless of background or circumstance.
